checkout error...please help me

after i add the amout i want to purchase and click the add to cart button i get a blank page...

could the problem be with the catalog/include/application_top.php...

what i mean is , should i update the my "application_top.php" with the "APPLICATION_TOP.PHP.TXT" given in the "shoppe enchance mod???

If that is the case, i did try  that, however i got an error re: the 
below 2 files:

  require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'filenames.php');

// include the list of project database tables
  require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'database_tables.php');

**taken from the "application_top.php.txt"

the strange thing is, i dont see those file ('filenames.php' and 'database_tables.php') anywhere either in my snapshot nor in the shoppe enchance mod as a new file

so how is that the "application_top.php.txt"make reference to a file that dont exist?

and should i update my application_top.php with the ".txt"given in
in the shoppe enchance mod.
