Help With Editing Site ~

Hi,

I am somewhat new to the world of OSCommerce but i have just set up my site a few weeks ago. I Have a few questions please answer any of them if you know the answer thank you.

A.) I would like to make the backround black and all the text green. How do I go about doing this? what lines on what page are edited and what do I have to write their?
B.) How do I change the layout of the web-site? How do I make a template? Is their a program I can use? I only want to make basically a Home Page that has a different layout, I just want the index to look like this but only the index - http://advancedvitamin.com/catalog/default.php but with my stuff.
