Automatic Email Response

I was wondering if anyone has enabled an automatic email response for their site.  I have a vendor who does not allow web pricing so I want to be able to have the customer email me from this particular category and in return receive the automatic email response containing the price lists.  This will need to be a seperate email from my contact us email.  Is it possible?
