Create a category called wanted.  Put the products you are looking for there, they could add the items they have to the basket and you can set those items to have 0 charge and 0 shipping so you basically get the order showing what they have.  You would just have to duplicate the items to put them in that area - maybe use a WANT in front of model or item number ot differentiate them from the ones you sell
