New category infobox for each category

But I do have a question or possible feature suggestion. At the moment we only work with main categories. In the near future (read: next week) we want to create several subs due to an expantion of our online shop. However, we´re not that enthousiastic about the way osCommerce handles subs. What we would like is for each category and it´s subs to be displayed in it´s own category infobox. I know it´s probably not that difficult to program, but since I´m a PHP newbie I was wondering if there is any contribution that already has this feature, or if YOU might be able to build it as a new contribution to osCommerce.
