customer can edit order?

I poked around the forums a bit and the contribution sections but didn't find this.

I'm wondering of the possibilty of having a user be able to edit a "Pending" order to add/delete items or cancel the order all together.  And on each edit, the admin be notified.

I'm working on site where people can subscribe to montly books.  I'll be handling the billing myself, I'll probably mainly use OSC for the ordering part.

I figure I could just leave all orders as pending while they are subscribed.  But with the option to edit, than drop/add books each month if they choose.

Anybody come across that could do this?
