Because I don't have that field in my authorizenet_direct.php that I am currently using with MS2.2 and it's working perfectly. So I would be interested to hear what's different about our respective installations to figure out what's up. As for the credit card module...do you mean the one that emails you their CC numbers and/or stores it in the database? If so, I had that one active for awhile before I disabled it and they both worked fine in tandem. That shouldn't have any impact on the Authorize.net module. If you meant a previous Authorize.net installation (or the one bundled with OSC), that's exactly right...as I listed in the readme you will have to uninstall and reinstall the module in the admin section after updating them, because you are inserting new fields into the database.
