Sounds great!

Nearlly everthing can be turned on/off.  Hand coding is fine - but to make it a bit easier - install the "HTML WYSIWYG editor" from the conribution area.  That way you can easily edit product discriptions and your main page without using criptic/confusing PHP mixed with CSS mixed with HTML ect.   Alot faster.  This HTML WYSIWYG editor does NOT do the WHOLE site just your mainpage area, product info and a few other small areas.  In fact works some what like this board that you can use [b]bold[/b], [i]italics[/i], [u]under line[/u], add [color=red]c[/color][color=orange]o[/color][color=brown]l[/color][color=green]o[/color][color=blue]u[/color][color=violet]r[/color][color=brown]s[/color] and make (and change type of - which this board does not do) fonts [size=18]larger[/size] and [size=9]smaller [/size] and more. (But you don't see all the markup tags.)
