Good idea. I'll probably do that so people think they're getting some "extra value", and if free shipping becomes too much of a loss I won't have to modify it back to normal.

I think what I'm going to have to do is just install it on my server in a hidden directory and just give myself more than two weeks. I'm going to have to modify everything, I'm assuming, and rebuild the design from scratch. I've done this a bunch when building message boards... taking the code and modifying all HTML to make it work. I know I can do it; it'll just be a matter of time, I guess.

I really think that not paying for the shopping cart software out of my pocket, up front is going to give me a bit more time anyways. The way I figure it, I'm going to spend the first couple months earning back what I invest. If I don't pay for software outright, I'll bring my costs WAY down.

So in the end, if it takes me a month to build an osCommerce site and make it look exactly like I want it to, I'm still saving money.
