matt....thanks for the help.

i was able to get THAT part worked out, now i have a NEW fun problem.

i can set up a text box, and i can call it "Monogramming".

When i place something in the box, i don't SEE that it gets passed to the shopping cart by looking at the cart, even though now the word "Monogramming" does show up on the cart page, absent the value....

...but if you mouse over the LINK to the product in the cart, the value you entered shows up.

then, when you go checkout, the value that gets passed along is just 'TEXT'...not the actual stuff you entered.  the database seems to just be storing the word TEXT, instead of the value in the text box.

i know that sounded very rambly and nonsensical...i hope you know what i mean. =)
