Certain models available for discount?

Hey there..
I'm wondering how I could do this. I have roughly 6 different models of product on my development site. They are:
- Used Magazines
- New Magazines
- Used Books
- New Books
- New VHS and DVD Movies
- Liquidating Items

Irrespect to manufacturer, I would like the ability to [group] my product by model. I have the Gift/Voucher system running on my site and want to be able to allow multiple purchases of say, Used Magazines, to be eligible for a 30% discount off the single price. For example, if the customer chooses one used magazine it will cost $3.00 plus shipping but if they choose 5 used magazines they will be able to enter USEDMAG as a voucher and receive a total price of $11.50 plus shipping. Get my idea?

Basically, I just need a way of having product_info.php query the product database, check the model, and then display what the discount would be. IE. Used magazines have a 30% discount, New magazines have a discount of 15%.
