Multiple OSC websites. Need product import by category!

Hi All,

  I have multiple OSC websites i'd like to create an import option in the admin to share product and category modifications across multiple sites.

The catalogs are not exactly the same. There is one main site that has all categories under 8 top-level categories. And there are 8 other sites that represent the other 2nd level categories. 

I'd like to have the administrators edit the main site and then be able to import from admin the respective categories to their other sites.

Looking for ideas on how i might do this.. A Select (or two) statement that would grab a category, all it's products and import them would be good two!
