screenscrape information from shopping cart to paypal

I have worked on fixing the duplicate error message i get from Paypal IPN for weeks. After extensive hours of searching and trial and error on my part, it is finally working. Did a test, and it worked fine. I read somewhere in the forum that if you want to populate or screenscrape the data from the shopping cart into the paypal checkout page i needed to use PAYPAL IPN. This would eliminate the user from entering their data twice. But upon checkout the data does not appear in the paypal checkout page. Any ideas?
