Numbered product attributes don't follow any order??

Admin, Catalog, Product Attributes:

I’m trying to get my dresses to have size options. Which I can do. BUT what I can’t seem to do, is get the dropdown for the sizes to appear in numerical order:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

They show up 2, 3, 1, 4, randomly. I can’t figure it out.

Is there a way to create a dropdown that populates in numerical order?
