Need Specific Thumbnail Solution

Ok, I know the issue of thumbnails has been beat into the ground on this forum - and I spent literally all day today reading countless posts & trying various things...  Haven't found what I need just yet - though I am sure someone can help.

Running latest version of OSCOMMERCE
Running on a 'shared' machine at HTTPME (no root access)

All my thumbs need to be a fixed 100 X 80
All my thumbs need to be created automatically, but can not stretch, or smush the image.  

Basically it should be porportionate only.  I use a white background, so any unused area - could be blank.

Can anyone point me to the correct contribution???  Thanks so much!
