osCommerce and phpBB

I run a site called Fightauthority.com.  I use phpBB forum for my community.  Starting in December I am using a pay-for-service for some of the additional features on my site.  I currently use an ASP store that I have from one of my affiliates.  The problem with this is that obviously I can't seemlessly interact the store or the e-commerce with my phpBB.  This is important because I use the phpBB group functions to handle registered users access to different parts of the site, when the new addition goes live.  

My questions is, has anyone interacted osCommercec and phpBB.  For instance if you register to for an account on osCommerce, can you register that person for an account on phpBB at the same time.  I know it can be done, but was curious if there was some mod out there already, or if anyone had any suggestions.
