In general, the only mail headers that mean anything are those that start Received:.  All the others can be faked (note:  it is the mailer which puts in that line; one can add Received: lines to confuse but final one is placed by the *receiving* mail server).  There have been some successful prosecutions for fraud based on faked headers in the US (probably other places as well, but I am mostly aware of the US).  You might want to check with Scotland Yard (District Attorney in the US) to see if they have recommendations on how to proceed.
