The graphics in the buttons are taken from other areas - if I remember correctly from Microsoft Office ClipArt Gallery or the online Design Gallery Live site. The arrows used in the new checkout procedure are a Photoshop shape :) You can do what you want with them - we are thinking of replacing them anyway with sexier and more elegant buttons. The buttons on the Administration Tool are taken from the default Internet Explorer submit button style. Konqueror also has a similar default style set of buttons.
