This message was sent from: GNU General Public License http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtopic.php?p=76955#76955 ---------------------------------------------------------------- I realize your question involves phpBB .... but ...... I was using phpBB and really like the board system. However, I wound up switching recently to Invision Board (IBF). Our community is a pretty strong community for saltwater fishing. My users are not very computer literate, most having grown up well before the advent of the home PC age. I noticed significant confusion caused by the necessity to login and register across 3 applications. We have integrated site-wide login and registration between phpWebsite, IBF and OSC. I BELIEVE we have it working properly at http://www.coastaloutdoors.com . THIS IS A LIVE SITE, SO PLEASE, NO TESTS. NOTE: The first time the user makes a purchase in OSC, the user has to enter all the OSC personal information. As yet, I'm not sure how this is going to work out, but, it does appear to be better than the alternative --- requiring users to register and login across 3 applications.
