Fight the Patent

A company called PanIP has tried something simlar. They patented the use of text and images on the internet as a means of selling and the use of a form to collect user info. It's been on slashdot a couple of times [url=http://ask.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/05/13/1914221]here[/url] and [url=http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/10/23/197234]here[/url]. There's also a couple of threads on the oscommerce forums about it  - [url=http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtopic.php?t=25712&highlight=patent+court+case]are we all going to get sued?[/url] and [url=http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtopic.php?t=26068&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=patent+court+case&start=0]who owns ecommerce?[/url]
these guys target small companies hoping they'll pay up.
