This message was sent from: E-Commerce Laws http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtopic.php?p=123679#123679 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Not sure if this is allowed - but from all the merchant card companies that I've talked to, and done business with, I really do recommend Moneris. They are very forthcoming with information and help, they go out of their way to ensure you do everything right to begin with (and they save you some money doing it) and they also can set you up with a US bank account if you don't already have one, with Harris Bank, including check card (great for Canadian merchants). They are jointly held by the Royal Bank of Canada and the Bank of Montreal, so besides being backed by billions of dollars (security and peace of mind) they also offer Canadian merchant services at incredibly discounted rates over the other banks in Canada ($600 startup fee + 3.9% & $0.35 for internet merchants at other Canadian banks). Moneris is also located in the USA so they are US merchant-centric. They've been nothing but a plus-plus for everything in my dealings with them. They also have pretty good rates: $10.00/mo + $19.95 gateway fees, 2.29% + 0.30 per transaction. There are better rates out there to be found, but the pros outweigh the cons with Moneris (for me anyway). Plus they clear the funds into your account every 48 hours per transaction day, with no "hold-back" like many other merchant services do. They also have a $20 "charge back" fee instead of $35 like most others. All in all, they've been a really nice group to deal with for my businesses. (Woo, after that glowing review I wonder if I'll get some free Moneris writing pads, pens, or other stuff as a "kick back" lol).
