Based on my own personal expericenes the teachers learn more than the students. I think that being a moderator would be a great learning experience. I also think that we need to add more sections to the forum. The majority of the more technically challenging posts are going unanswered. A sub-section(s) for more/less technical requests could be created and this could be managed more easily with more moderators. More moderators would allow the developers of the contributions to spend more time on the projects/coding/mods/releases and with the addition of more sections be able to quickly pinpoint posts that are more technical or more contribution specific.
