Time for some action me thinks...

I wrote a fairly complex module for PostNuke last year for storing and searching extended user profiles for a talent agency. It never got released or finished because the director went AWOL owing me lots of money :O( but I did learn a lot, especially how they've incorporated MVC architecture into the PHP platform (I'm an ex-Java/JSP developer). I didn't understand the security implementation fully, but willing to learn.

Now I'd be happy to start/join a team building a decent ecommerce mod for *nukes - guess I'd better go post something on a *nuke site.

The only thing I'm worried about integrating OSCommerce into *nuke as a separate team is that by the time anything of value is release, OSCommerce will have changed it's core to a more modular system and it will all have to be rewritten if we want to keep up-to-date with the developments on OSCommerce. 

Tell me if I'm wrong, but the other problem I foresee is that we will get NO help from the OSCommerce team whatsoever. I'm not planning on taking up lots of your/their time, but a few good pointers as to where to start would be good,  remembering that the furthest I've got with OSCommerce so far is installing and playing around with it. I haven't looked at the structure of it yet, but have a pretty good idea from this thread that it's all-in-one so to speak.

Thoughts anyone? Where should I start - PHP-Nuke or PostNuke or XOOPS or *nuke/Xaraya maybe?

Where should I start the dev discussion? I want to base my own [url]www.purkiss.com[/url] site on a *nuke (must have RSS feed capability) so could host the project/forums there.
