Set SMTP or sendmail host from admin

One sore point for me is configuring the email host. Would love the ability to simply set the host from admin / Configuration / Email Options. An extra "host" field in Email Transport Method would be fabulous. I'm still trying to figure out how to set the SMTP host on my shared hosting account (don't have access to php.ini)
