I would like to see osc become a true object oriented ecommerce-catalog engine. Where contributions are written as classes/objects and can be dropped in without having to hack the code of the engine itself. Can it be done this way? I think so. Look at all the software we think is good now that takes mods. unix would probably be a good example. though if you ever got into at&t's kernel you might want to bring a life raft.
It would take a different thought train than what has been previous with the code yet at the same time it would be in a direction that I think it is trying to go with classes/modules, etc.... In my 10th year of programming Burr came out with a completely different idea(we thought) on how you should think about programming. He just packaged it in bubbles.
Any comments?
