I wish this was better documented. It sounds like you've consolidated the revisions I'm after.

So if I want one of my categories to have one them and the other category to be another (different header/footer/colors/etc.), what is the best solution? I know that I could make it work, but I just want to do it the right or best way possible.

So would I have to modify all the links in the store to send the "theme" variable, or could I specify in one of the theme files different settings based on the catetory they are in?

If I missed this info in the forums or elsewhere, a posted link with the tweaks would be greatly appreciated.
