about packingslip and invoice

Why Mr. and Ms. can not be shown on packingslip and invoice, but I can see below in the admin/includes/language/english.
define('MALE_ADDRESS', 'Mr.');
define('FEMALE_ADDRESS', 'Ms.');
How can I have Mr. and Ms. appeared？
