Hmm,..
I didn't get a topic reply notification, so I hadn't seen your replies before.

I must say I'm surprised the new code is slower at the moment, but I checked and you are right.
The strange thing is that I didn't make these numbers in the rest of the thread up, so something must cause it to deteriorate.

Anyhow, I have given up on it for now as there doesn't seem to be much interest in this. If interest picks up again or I run out of other things to do I might revisit this.
There are some things that could be done to my new code that would speed it  up a bit more, the rendering code is pretty inefficient right now. I could also look into why the numbers have deteriorated over the past week. That is puzzling.
