This message was sent from: Suggestions and Proposals http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtopic.php?p=228716#228716 ---------------------------------------------------------------- over the past weeks i' cant even beging to count how many different forms of link additions i've looked at, and checked out demo's for. not even just osc based, but php in general. as a new user to osc, certain features i can think of that would be beneficary to osc, i wish i could help with, and make available. sort of like "makes me wanna be a better man" line from that one movie. in the future at some point i'll delv nto the basics of php/sql and start. but for now i have a contribution in mind that i think would be good for the pro's. my idea: Links. I like certain information to be available to viewers and some not. I gave it alot of thought, and came up with a solution. Make a links controbution simulated around the configuration/product listing page of the admin section. that way for users like myself, we can choose to let cetain items be visable or not. items like url title *clickable a href*, text url*so users can see where they'll go*, description, date added, last modified, clicks in, click out, and a rating system. everything would be able to be turned on, and off, and even use the 1/2/3/4/ functions for what displays where. for link/catagory addition, that could probably be made with drop downs, both in one page. i'm sure. anyways, my two cents. i'd like to hear others people comments on my idea. much thanks.
