As I understand it, he wants the price to go down as volume increases.  I.e 1 unit might be $10, 20 units might be $9 each ($180 total), and so on.  My suggestion was to make larger units an attribute.  The weakness of this is that you would have to order in that multiple (i.e. if you have an attribute meaning 20, you would have to order 20, 40, 60, etc. with it selected).  Plus, it is not automatic.  

Recoding would be better.  Benjamin pointed out that there is already a contribution that does this (1242).

Btw, my Spanish is weak, so I used babelfish.altavista.com to translate it.
