cellpadding for left & right columns

Hi,
I want to close the gap between the infoboxes on the left & right columns at www.firstcomputers.co.nz. By changing the cellpadding value for the columns in default.php i can close them for the default page. I would like the columns to have no gap throughout the whole site, does this mean i have to manually change the value of the cellpadding from every php file in the catalog folder? or is there a "master file" where i can make the one change?
Also, would anyone know how to place the columns to the edge of the page? At the moment theyre padded in about 3pxl's from the edge of the page.
Just learning this cellpadding stuff, any help appreciated. :)
