Porting over from a different DB structure

I'm using osCommerce to upgrade a site that used to run on ASP/Access (I think). I have the CVS dumps of the old database, and I inserted them into the osCommerce DB where they were appropriate (for example, I inserted product information into teh products table, category information into categories and categories_descriptions, and the product/categories correlating table into products_to_categories). However, I have run into a snag. The products don't appear, even when they're listed, and although the side menu shows that there are products in a category or sub-category, they don't appear. I've gone over the database tables to see if I could have missed anything, and for the life of me, I can't find it.
