Thanks Daniel,

This is what that line says:

$INSTALL_DIR = '/web/cgi-bin/perlfect/search/';

And that appears to be correct? Is it not?

My Web Directory is on an F: drive on the server, and the error message
referred to the D: drive - any suggestions?

$INSTALL_DIR in conf.pl is not set correctly, let it point to the
directory
where Perlfect Search is installed. Use slashes, not backslashes.
