base url / start url

Hi I want to index my site via http, but through a different URL than users normally access it. In other words, $HTTP_START_URL and $BASE_URL is different. This is because the site is on https, but I let the crawler access it via http from localhost. My problem is that URLs on the search page are prefixed with $HTTP_START_URL, not $BASE_URL. How could I do this?
