phrase searching problems (clarified)

I forgot to clarify what the exact problem with the phrase searching is for 
me.  Previously it worked great, but now the scripts don't search for phrases, 
only "ANY" of the words contained within the quotation marks.  This happens 
whether 'ANY' or 'ALL' is the option for the search.
