dealing with spam

Hi all,

I plan to make some changes to the list in order to try to reduce the
amount of spam making its way on to the list.

The changes will mean that all non plain text parts of messages will be
dropped.  This will be trialed for a week to see what impact it has.
The change will be made in the next 24 hours, unless there are serious
objections.

Please be patient as we fine tune things.
