Problems with Email server imap

Hi,

I am currently working with Phpgroupware for a school project.
I recently installed the mail server called UW-IMAP to handle the emails.
When i login as admin in phpgroupware and i try to open the email application i get an error:

 There was an error trying to connect to your mail server.
Please, check your username and password, or contact your admin.
