Follow-up Comment #1, patch #5803 (project phpgroupware):

$GLOBALS['HTTP_SERVER_VARS']['PHP_AUTH_USER'] is deprecated, in favour of the
super globals.  Using $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] is easier on the eye too. :)
