Ah ... that makes sense ...

As an aside I have implemented to 0/1 -> true/false on my web site and
it has been running fine for two days now. Looks like the change is
stable. I just hope it's acceptable syntax for MySQL ;)

But I *have* been getting these errors:

ERROR:  value too long for type character varying(64)

I guess that MySQL silently truncates to 64 if the string is too long?

I'm thinking of changing the postgresql table definition to use text
instead of varchar to get around that problem *and* to allow storing of
unlimited length URLs/etc ... (the is not performance gain in using
varchar() vs. text in postgres)
