Hello POTiacs, * It would be very usefull to archive old data to increase speed of reports. The site I track with phpOpenTracker now got about 380.000 access_log entries in 5 months. It needs more than 2 minutes time to generate the "Total Statistics" report. That leads to timeouts on servers where i can't increase the execution timen or gateway timeout. I don't have the possibility to update to MySQL 4.1. * What about 2 simple SQL queries to move rows from pot_accesslog and pot_visitors to "_archive" tables in the same database? Could this corrupt the database? The reporting on the original tables should be faster then and the old data can be restored easily from the archive tables when needed. * Idea for the example "simple_report": many users don't need all the "Total Statisics" every time they enter phpOpenTracker. A less time consuming report as "start"-page which shows all aviliable months but not the other report sections. This gives the user the chanche to navigate to a certain month more quickly.
