you can place a 'webbug' at the bottom of the page. You can find an example
of a webbug in the package of phpOpenTracker.

Thank you for the tip.

This defeats my philosophy of including POT a little though.  I had the
idea that it would keep page performance better if I put the POT logging
code at the BOTTOM of the page rather than the TOP, hoping the user
could be reading the page while POT does the logging.
