Hello--

When I last wrote to the list a month ago today, I was having
problems with the split tables script. I have rewritten the
script and now have it working, in that it properly moves the
data into the new monthly tables. But I've run into another
problem...

Now my reports don't work. I am using the default report file
include included with v1.5. When I try to view the report, I get
the error:

phpOpenTracker Error: Table 'phpopentracker.pot_visitors' doesn't
exist

That's right, it doesn't exist because it was replaced by

'phpopentracker.pot_visitors_200512'

What appears to be happening is that the report is pulling up the
the value for visitors_table as defined in the Config file, when
it should be accessing the class in mysql_merge.php to generate
the proper name for the table to access (visitors_table_yearmonth).

Does Config.php need an edit? Is there a problem with the
mysql_merge.php file? How can I get the report file to recognize
the new monthly tables created by the split_tables.php script?

If anyone can offer some insight, I would be most appreciative! I
had to disable phpOpenTracker last month due to the slow
performance without mysql_merge, and I'm eager to get this back
online.

cheers
SAM :)
