OK... I think I have it installed. So... now what? The documentation makes an awful lot of assumptions. Basically, I think we want to use a web bug or something similar. We have Flash-based banner ads out there, and want to have a "hit" passed back to us with an identifier for each ad. We assign a "project id" to each ad, so if we can just get that, that'll be enough for us to tell everything else. We added something to the Flash code that sent a "hit" back to a virtualhost I created so that a log entry would be generated with the pid, and I was planning on using some bash scripting to read out and count pids Now that I found out about POT, it sounds great, but there's absolutely no clue about what to do with it! If I was interested in info about HTML served up from our server, I can see some info. But how would a "hit" from the outside access and pass info to POT? Once stuff is being logged, where are the logs, how do I read them, where's the control panel or whatever to sort it all out? -- *********************************************************************** * John Oliver http://www.john-oliver.net/ * * * ***********************************************************************
