Hi, I am a long time user of pixory. I have had an intermittent problem with Pixory starting. I am running it on Windows XP and have the shortcut set so it starts automatically when Windows starts. About a year ago or so it started be cranking about starting, the FireFox Window would come up saying the page as not available. Usually starting Pixory a second times resolved this, sometimes it took half a dozen times. I expirmented with closing other programs, uninstalling and reinstalling Java, etc... but never really solved it, so just lived with it. However, today it will not start at all. So I am hoping someone more knowledgable might be ablt to help me slueth out the solution. My log ends with the following lines... 09:52:08,031 INFO (main) [pxftp.PXFtpServer startServer] - started ftp server 'PXApplicationFtpServer' 09:52:08,046 WARN (main) [util.ThreadedServer start] - Failed to start: [email protected]:80 09:52:08,046 WARN (main) [ServletContainer main] - It appears that an instance of Pixory is already running! Cannot start new instance! 09:52:09,406 INFO (Thread-1) [pxftp.PXFtpConnection run] - Handling new request from 127.0.0.1 I can upload the entire log if it helps. Is this telling me another program has a listener on 0.0.0.0:80 ? If so, anyone know how to tell what program that might be? At one time I accidently loaded the latest greatest Java, and had to revert back to a previous version for Pixory to work properly. I always wondered if there was some fragment from that installation that was giving me greif. Does anyone know of a 100% sure fire way to entirely remove Java and then reinstall it. I have tried it myself, by deleting the Java directories, but it has not helped. I am not apposed to messing around in the registry if need be. In my Add/Remove Programs I see: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 3 Java 2 Runtime Enironment, SE v1.4.2 I am going to try removing the 5.0 one, but don't really expect it to entirely solve my issue. Any help from anyone will be appreciated, Thanks, Alon :) Yahoo!
