Russel, >Is this a new requirement? Apparently it is ;). Release beta-2.11 includes a new version of Hibernate, which is a software library that Pixory uses for database access. It sounds to me like Hibernate now has a hard requirement to access that file, whereas perhaps before it would let it slide. Is it possible for you to configure that linux box so that the url: http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping.dtd is accessible from there?
