I still don't see any way to make an album available via a log in password.
I do NOT want to give my main password as then they can do anything to any
album, not good!

The suggestion
C:\WINDOWS\system32\javaw.exe -Djava.awt.headless=true -jar pixory.jar

 for the startup does not work. I get a java

  fatal exception occurred launcher will exit

  whatever that means?


So my ONLY way to start is double click the actual jar file.

private albums so my daughter can see them but other cannot. She is worried
about the kids pictures being in public. I don't want it to be the password
that gets me full access.

    As for the invites menu, when you log into Pixory and go to the specific
Album there is an Invite option on the left of the screen.  In the same area
as you go to when you check the box to make it public.  Just click invite
and then fill in the addresses you want. You an set up an address book
within Pixory if you want.  A tip, send one to yourself to be sure it works
first.  It seems to used the Configure – Advanced – WAN Hostname to get the
IP address to use in the link it puts in the emailÂ… so make sure that
variable is correct.



    If you want, you can simplify your Pixory link on your webpage by using
just http://68.115100.48:8081 , which will take you to the Pixory home page
too.

    A reminder that if you ISP provides a dynamic IP address it could goof
things up if it ever changesÂ… you would just have to update your link and
your WAN Hostname setting to fix it.



    I have done the same basic thing as you, however I donÂ’t leave my
computer on 24x7 (Dang power in CA is always such an issue).  I donÂ’t know
if you leave your computer on 24x7 or not, but what I have done is created a
forward page that says the pics wonÂ’t be there if I turned my computer off.

    You gave me the hint. I thought I had done this but when I switched some
cable around the IP address of the local got changed. This hit me on my WIFI
for the PDA too:-)



    I just set the port forwarding up in the router again and now it seems
to work.





     http://68.115.100.48:8081/pixory/pxapplication Is the address but I had
to set the router to forward 8081 to 192.168.1.101 instead of 100 :-)

      It is late, this is complicated.  Let me collect my thoughts and get
back to you.  Basically you need to forward Pixory requests through your
router to the computer with Pixory on it.  Then use the external/router IP
on your webpage.  You also need to set that external IP in Pixory as the WAN
Address.  If you are using the 8081 port make sure your Pixory settings are
for that port and not the default 80.  I will try to provide more detail
tomorrow.

      If I supply  http://192.168.1.101:8081/pixory/pxapplication to use it
is not
      reachable. I can reach it from machine with photos and other machine
on my
      network but not externally.

      If I supply http://68.115.100.48:8081/pixory/pxapplication then nobody
can
      reach it, including on my network.

      The 68.115.100.48 address is the router I think. That is what I get
when I
      do a link to http://www.whatismyip.com
      which is supposed to give you your address as known on the network.
