Sorry about that-- I got lost in the thread.
Somewhere in the thread you mentioned that you are setting your
password. Is that correct? Are you certain your ISP (mail provider)
requires authentication (mine doesn't)?
If so, I notice something a little odd in one of the log lines you posted:
16:35:11,219 (SocketListener-2) [DEBUG:PXMailSender.getSession -- getting
session for configuration: {mail.from=gbaron <at> charter.net,
pxmail.smtp.auth.username=gbaron, mail.transport.protocol=smtp,
mail.smtp.auth=false, pxmail.smtp.auth.password= ,
mail.host=smtp.charter.net}]
The odd bit is this: "mail.smtp.auth=false", which I think indicates
that you do not have the "authenticate" checkbox checked.
If your mail provider requires authentication, then you must check the
"authenticate" checkbox and supply username and password on the Basic
Configuration screen.
