Joe, I would be happy to try the Java 1.5 Beta when it is released. I will keep my eyes open for it. If you notice its release let me know please. Are there any specific tests I should do once I have it? Or should I just methodically go through and test everything? I believe that java bug #4776576 is the same as #4881314. In 4776576 the java engineers indicate that this bug has now been fixed for the next java release. The next release, 1.5, is being referred to at javasoft as "tiger". The last word is that the first beta would ship in "late 2003". I guess they're going to be busy over the holidays ;) I'm guessing that the beta will go out the door in very early 2004. It will be difficult for me to test out 1.5, because I've switched my development platform to Mac OSX, and OSX lags well behind Win32 and Linux for java releases.
