Why not just test and install the free Mercury mail server from http://www.pmail.com and use its SMTP mail relay client just to see what happens. It is quite easy to configure, and you only need to enable the "SMTP server" and the "SMTP relay client" for this test so you should get it up and running in no time. It has decent logging possibilities, so you can see if your mail is actually sent from Pixory to the Mercury mail server.
