Folks, I want to change the way a couple of things work. You can voice any objections now, or forever hold your peace ;) 1) "Scaled Images-- quality vs. speed setting". This was an experiment which didn't really pan out. In practice, the differences in speed vs. quality are hardly noticeable. I don't want to carry around the extra complexity of these settings, so I plan to simply make everything "compromise" and remove these settings from the UI entirely. 2) "Mask Wan port" Right now, "mask wan port" does only one thing-- it removes any port number from the URL that is sent in the email invitation. The theory was that visitors always arrive by clicking on a link in an email invite, so that if you remove the port from that one link, and the rest of the viewer urls are derived from the context of each request URL, then it will all just work out. However, its becoming clear that the invite is less and less important as time goes by (many don't use it) and that anyhow things don't always "just work out" (tm). So I plan to make "mask wan port" more aggressive, to help out people who are using proxies or URL remapping. In the future, "mask wan port" will remove any port number from all URLs in the viewer portion of the application, regardless of what port arrives in the requesting URL. regards, joe ------------------------ Yahoo!
